The 365 Challenge asks participants to take a photo everyday of something in their life for 365 days.
They are encouraged to write a sentence or so below it to explain its significance - or not.
Ben Solah and Jodi Cleghorn began this challange last year, and although I was excited about the intricate and interesting images they were capturing, I just *never* got round to doing it... so... here goes... I am committing to 365 days through my lens..starting January 1st.
Now to find my first image.. and not to think too deeply about it...
eek.. what have I done?
Anyone else want to join me?

Dead tree in blue sky
I missed the majesty of this sight by attempting to capture it on film. This dead tree was huge... the sky, so blue...
Those who live OS - especially the expats... remember how blue the sky is in Australia? It was a gorgeous day and one I was grateful that I lived here.

A Dogs Birthday Party
Yes, Scruff was invitged to a birthday party - for another dog.
We brought a present and people food - which was both immedialty consumed by birthday dog...
The said hound was camera shy - though didn't mind showing off his bling ( rhinestone studded collar) I managed to catch Scruff about to give him a birthday kiss... or something
It was a bizzare experience and one I need to write about further.

Ducks out for a walk
Its been so wet and miserable.. even the ducks have abandoned their usual nesting places and been looking for dryer areas to hang out in.
Heres a shot I've just taken - right near our house of a mother duck and her babies toddling along the street looking for a safe place to be.

Suburban Farm Kids
Lilly adores her chickens and spends ages sitting and talking to them in the garden. If I allowed her, she would take the chooks into her bedroom.

Nails in a haystack
True to the intention for this year long challenge, I am capturing the theme or feeling for every day. Here lays my frustration and indicators of my inability as a builder...
Whilst attaching the roof to my chookshed, I had my packet of nails sitting beside be and in one foul ( ha ha) swoop - I knocked them off and into the laying box. I couldn't leave them there - so undertook the painful process of picking each one up - between the hay and shavings and poo.
For more details on me actaully building the chook run and shed - pop over to the family blog here.
